A Day at the Proyash Park. | The excellent Riverside view!
Visiting an amusement park on a very sunny day was not a good idea until I reached there.
Proyash Park is popular for its natural beauty. On one side of it flows the calm, majestic, and serene river Ghagat. That boosts the view of this park hundreds of times better. But who knows we would be the only guest in that awkward time!
But I immensely enjoyed exploring the whole park together with my son.
This park is located in Rangpur, Bangladesh. It's kind of a must-visit place if you visit the town. I will say that your trip to Rangpur will be a success. This small park is run by the Army, that's why it's very tidy and well maintained. The Ghaghat river is surrounded by the whole park. That's one of the major attractions of the rides and the natural beauty.
Let's explore the park with me.
There are quite a few rides like Marry Go Round, Kid's express (train ride), Carousel, Mushroom Swing, and some more like paddle boats on the lake.
You need to pay an entry fee and an extra fee for each ride. But they are pretty reasonable. It could be a great family visit there.
Some of the rides at the park.
Unfortunately, we couldn't access any rides that day. Because we were the only visitors there, the park officer was not willing to run any rides for only one child. Also, they said, it wouldn't be safe because the ride would not keep the balance. Well, I don't know if that's true. But I accepted it because I was also not sure if my son would enjoy the ride solo.
They let us sit on the rides though without running them. So we took some photos there. We sat on the swing for quite a while. To be honest, it was so sunny, we didn't enjoy the amusement park that much. So we went to another side of the park to enjoy the riverside view.
While roaming around, I came across this path. It seemed like such a peaceful place. We could hide from the sun for a while in the shade of the flower bush.
There were a few restaurants on the other side, as you can see, where you will find some popular snacks and drinks like faluda, coffee & tea, tandoori bread, shik kabab, chips & chocolate, etc. You can take some, sit in the river houses, and enjoy the view.
There were a few small river houses, or I would say small watch tower type of shades, where the visitors can sit and enjoy the river sight. I found some of the visitors were there, probably they were just like us, couldn't do much in the amusement park and went on this side.
It was so windy and cool inside the house. The wide blue sky, greenery, and river breeze complimented our mood so nicely.
Take a cup of coffee or your favorite drink, and watch the clear water flowing in the narrow river. If you visit the place in the afternoon, you will get to see the sweet soft light of the golden sun in the western sky falls into the river water and creates an enchanting different atmosphere.
And at such a time in such an environment can be one of the best moments of your life to hang out with close people, family, or friends.
Have a good day, everyone.

It seems like it covered a lot of areas to build the park. Most of the cases, whenever a park builds It mostly being artificial, and people who work in places build by their own choices. And the choices mainly make a park and its around artificial.
But in the latter part of your writing, I noticed something interesting which is the flowing river. This kind of beauty hardly one can enjoy in a park. Yes, this thing adds another level of attraction to the place. Overall it looks like you have spent such a wholesome time with your son.
I have a couple of questions for you, have you needed to pay anything to enter the park? Is the park any off day, as you haven't got any opportunity to enjoy any ride, is it just because that was an off day?
The park is a bit different from others mostly because it's an Army-run park. I visited there mostly because of the river. Because the rides, as you can see, are not that top-notch.
As I said -
The general holiday except weekends is the day off of the park. The day we visited was not a day off, otherwise, I couldn't enter. :) It was so empty because it was a weekday, and the schools were running so no kids were there in the morning. And because of the lack of visitors, they refuse to open any ride.
Thanks for your interest. Have a good day :)
Hmm I think it would be happy riding in any rides at the park with others. Those laughter and loud voices added happiness.
Those flower bushes,.we called that bougainvilla here in my country and it was really perfect to be planted in arc like that. Aside from shade, it looks beautiful once in bloom.
I have visited the park before and enjoyed quite a few rides that time. It was fun to enjoy something alone with our kids.
We also call the bougainvillea, though the Bangla name is 'Bagan Bilash'. They are so pretty.
Thanks for taking the time to go through my post.
This looks like a very nice place mate.
It's truly is. Thanks.
