Exciting Trip but wrong Timing || Hakaluki Haor (One of Asia's large marsh wetland resources)
I have been wanting to visit few places around my country for a very long time. The list is becoming long as days are passing by. Due to the busy schedule of life and all the things related to it, I am not able to make this trips happen. I wish things were much simple during present times like it was when we were kids.
I want to cherish those small moments of life and enjoy them to the fullest. Money will come and go but these time of ours will not! So, why not make the best out of it and do what you love most!
Sudden trip to Hakaluki Haor
Hakaluki Haor is one of those place which was on my list from the very beginning. I went near these place quite some time but never had the chance to actually visit here due to several reasons. As if, some sort of problem arrives out of nowhere whenever I plan to take a trip in here. But this time, no more excuse. I went out with full proof plan that whatever happens I will reach the destination at any cost.
Hakaluki Haor (Bengali: হাকালুকি হাওর) is a marsh wetland ecosystem of north-eastern Bangladesh. It is one of Bangladesh's largest and one of Asia's large marsh wetland resources. Hakaluki Haor is bounded by the Kushiara river as well as a part of the Sonai Bardal river to the north, by the Fenchuganj-Kulaura railway to the west and to the south, and by the Kulaura-Beanibazar road the east. What I was expecting and what I got?
This is what happens when you do not come up with a plan. Well, I must agree that sudden trips are sort of exciting and these trips are more fun than usual. But natural environment and other factors are must check when you want to visit natural habitat such as these.
The image (second) below is the place which remains submerged in water during rainy season. A breathtaking place to behold. Such an amazing beauty is not found else where. But as you may see this whole place is sort of barren in the first place and only sort of a lake is out there which is also far away from the view point of the place.

This is how it was suppose to be!
I honestly was expecting a lot finer scenario from this trip of mine. But I completely forgot about the season and how things would eventually turn out for me. It was an utter frustration but after spending some time over there sitting around and witnessing what was front of me, I felt how breathtaking the view was and how amazing I felt during the whole time which I was there.

Yeah, I know ! Comparing above two images can be really tough for some people. But it is what it is!
Let me show you what I saw during this trip of mine!
It was my first visit to Hakaluki Haor! I was quite curious to see everything and I was literally filming almost everything. Me entering the road to this place, getting to see all the tress passing by from both the sides. The village roads, kids playing, people doing their everyday tasks and much more!
Village Scenarios
Reflection on the water!
Crops are being harvested!
The above images were all the scenarios that one would have seen while going through the roads of this destination. On the other hand let me take you to the destination that we are all waiting to see.
Hakaluki Haor
The place itself!
Since we are in the winter season, where the water is dried up and it almost gives out the vibe of an island. Like I said I was not really expecting this to see! I was literally surprised to see all this. There are lots of things happening out here! Since I was little upset about this view but when you see such amazing beauty for a certain period of time it would automatically make you think twice about how lucky one is to witness such beauty in their life time.
There are sitting areas arranged from the view point! One can just take a sit and see these magnificent place where one would see just land without an ending. And just think of it this way, as far as you can see now during raining season all this would be under water. And as of now you can literally take a walk into the deep of this place.
Place to sit and just enjoy the view!
Such a nice natural shade of plants! On the place where you can sit!
Whatever the scene might be, life never stops for these people!
Last but not the least! Boat are parked on land! As if they are getting rest for these time of the year and they will be alive once again once the water hits this lake once again.
Overall, it was a nice trip for me. The journey of going there, the bike ride and all the time spend out there, I will remember those moments for a long time. Especially when the trip is with friends it gets much more interesting than any one can think of. Also it is a budget friendly trip! So nothing off the track out there. It cost me only petrol worth of $2 :) So, just waiting for the next piece and hopefully it will be the next destination will not make my expectation go down like this one :)
All the images are captured by me, unless stated otherwise!
