Wooden Boxes Junk
Thursday, 2022-11-03
Here's my entry for the #monomad challenge.
Before joining Hive's Black and White community, I had never paid much attention to black-and-white photos or had much interest in them. However, that all changed when I joined the community. The beautiful monochromes pictures posted by the members got me interested in black-and-white.
Black and white offers a unique perspective and portrays different emotions. Our eyes are so used to all different colors, and once you remove those colors, you only see black, white, and anything in between. Colors can be a distracting factor, and removing them makes you more focused on the subject's contrast, shape, form, pattern, lighting, and texture.
Here are some random pictures I took this morning while waiting for my wife to do grocery shopping at the traditional market. I parked the car in front of an electric substation with discarded wooden boxes junk. Those pictures look bland in color, but when converted into black and white, they look more attractive and stand out.
