I can't remember where I read it before, but I've heard somewhere that consciousness is an eternal stream, and our living bodies are so that we can experience life.
When we die we go back into the eternal stream, and it's eternally peaceful.

well, thats one way to see it.
but if you look another angle of what the actual system is and what our code is in that system then its more morbid than "fancy reincarnation" ...its dumb recycling.
but yes, beyond these parameters, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel...and shoot for peaceful bliss.
Maybe one day we can talk about this if you're up late at night and the veil is thin for me.
