Look What I Found

Hello friends, we're already in September. The year 2025 is drawing to a close. It's the rainy season in my area, making the air cooler than usual. I really enjoy a sunny morning after a night of rain. While taking my son to school, I found a few things I thought would be great to photograph.

First, I found this flower on the side of the road. This purple flower is called a ruellia. My neighbor planted it on the side of the road in front of her house. It blooms in the morning and closes at dusk. It doesn't require complicated care, and it loves the sun. If planted in large numbers, you'll get bright purple flowers blooming simultaneously. It's a sight to behold.

Not far from the ruellia, I found this amaryllis flower. This flower has a fresh and beautiful color. Although only two stems were blooming, it didn't detract from its beauty. It has a towering stem, as if it wanted to prove its beauty to anyone who passed by.

When I was little, I often came across this plant. I nicknamed it the world's smallest starfruit. The fruit is indeed shaped like a starfruit. This plant is called Oxalis barrelieri, or in Indonesian, also called starfruit. The fruit of this plant has a sour taste, and I used to really enjoy eating it. The sourness of the fruit can make you frown and squint.

The creeping charlie in my yard is currently lush and lush due to the rain. I like this plant because it's easy to care for. I only need to prune it when it starts to get bushy. The leaves of this plant are very similar to mint, which is why people often call it mock mint.

This is the larva of the soldier moth, Daphnis nerii. I often find these little friend on flowering trees. When they become larvae, they will eat the leaves of the plant until they are all gone. One thing I've noticed is that this moth seems to reproduce seasonally. It eats almost all the leaves of my neighbor's flowers simultaneously. This larva is quite annoying, because it can quickly consume the leaves of a tree, leaving only the flower stem. Have you ever encountered larvae like mine? Please share here, and see you in the next post. Thanks for stopping by, friends.
