Humble chipmunk 🐿️

The Siberian chipmunk (Eutamias sibiricus), also called common chipmunk or Asian chipmunk

In summer, this fluffy small animal does not come across to me often, I would even say rarely. Yes, I hear their alarmed voices beyond the thickets as I pass them, but it is very difficult to see them themselves because of the dense vegetation.

These buddies stockpile food all the time. For which they received the name "housekeeper or householder."

How else? In mid-October or early November, they fall into a long hibernation. And in the middle of winter they wake up to eat.
And that's why it's important to stock up on plenty of food to get through the winter.
