Pearls of Ladakh. Visiting Shey Palace. Interior and details
Second part of our visit to Shey Palace and Monastery to present some interior views and traditional Buddhist details of this place, which are not less interesting than exterior
The palace itself is a blend of ancient Tibetian and Ladakh traditions of the royal history, being a summer residence of the Kings. And mainly it is noted for the giant 39-foot-tall copper gold statue of seated Shakyamuni Buddha
Traditional worship place is lit by number of butter lamps, which being replace to flame without interruption. Whole interior is decorated with finely painted murals
Truly masterpiece and a timeless symbol of Ladakh.
In addition some traditional details as interesting door knobs and fire stand in a Buddhist way
And this first day in Ladakh wasnt really finished yet. Next Monastery to follow....
