| I titled this post as a “sensory experience” because right after we entered, where all the monks were sitting chanting in deep, low tones, my friends and I suddenly felt something we had never experienced before — a strange sensation in the body, like dizziness, a feeling of heaviness. It only lasted a few seconds, but it was real. I had never felt something like that before. | Titulo este post como una experiencia sensorial porque realmente nada más entramos donde estaban todos los monjes sentados realizando un cántico muy grave y muy profundo. Yo y mis amigos sentimos al entrar como una sensación en el cuerpo que no nos había pasado nunca, como una especie de mareo, una sensación de pesadez en el cuerpo. Solo duró unos segundos pero lo sentimos y nunca me había pasado eso antes. |

| It’s a pity that photos can’t capture sensations. Maybe with a video — but even then, I’m not sure it would. I don’t know if it was the sound of the chant, which was very powerful, or the energy of the temple itself, or simply the whole atmosphere being so new to us — but it truly was a unique experience, one I’d love to live again. | Es una pena que con las fotos no se pueda también compartir sensaciones. Quizá con un vídeo, pero yo creo que ni con eso. No sé si fue el sonido del cántico, que era muy potente. No sé si fue la energía del templo, o si porque todo un conjunto era algo nuevo para nosotros, pero la verdad que fue una experiencia única y la cual me encantaría repetir. |
