Did you get a chance to learn more about the current inhabitants of the village and their perspective on the church?

The current inhabitant are gypsies, or roma, or romani, whatever they want to call themselves. After the Saxon's left, the village was left almost uninhabited and this is why most of the gypsies were relocated to these houses. Most of them got the house for free. These people however, are known for taking (very often stealing), begging, doing nothing, and not for being hard workers and builders. So in the absence of the Saxons, the village is not going in the right direction.
