SkyScape Escapes

I love the different aspects of varying skyscapes. They are a constant source of inspiration, in my case often awakening my poetic muse. I find photography of all kinds inspire poetry, but especially those that tell a story through landscape, natural processes or wildlife.

I have tried to capture the hidden essence in these three pictures using haiku poems; expressing those things that sing to the soul when looking at an image, the emotions and associations that tickle our subconscious.

I hope that the poems add a little insight into how I perceive the world around me through photography. After all it is through sharing our unique way of seeing things that we grow and develop. I know I have evolved during my nearly 7 years on Hive through this process of gaining wisdom from other's perspectives.

What is Haiku?

Haiku is a traditional form of Japanese poetry that dates back to the 17th century. It consists of three lines with a total of 17 syllables, typically arranged in a 5-7-5 pattern. The brevity and simplicity of haiku make it a perfect medium for capturing fleeting moments and expressing profound emotions.

Thanks for reading 🙂🌿
