Phaneropterinae Expert in Camouflage

This is a bush cricket by people in my area call it leaf grasshopper, green grasshopper to the name of Kerek grasshopper. People call it Kerek Grasshopper because it can make quite a loud sound at night.

The Latin name of this species is Phaneropterinae or leaf grasshopper. This type of grasshopper is generally green or brownish. But the one I found was green perched on leaves in the bushes.

Phaneropterinae is a type of bush cricket that is good at choosing a place by adjusting its body color or camouflage with the aim of not being seen because its color is almost the same as the color around it.

That's how Phaneropterinae deceives its enemies by adjusting its body color and the color around it.
