Happy Easter.

Well, it is mostly known that it is only the Christians who celebrate Easter festival. I don't really know much about Easter but someone once told me that it is the celebration of the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. If I am wrong, please let me know. I am not a Christian so I don't know much about that.
I am a Muslim and we are in the Ramadan period. Presently, a lot of Muslims are fasting and we cannot even go out to have fun that much.

How do they celebrate Easter festival over there?
In my country, the Christians go to church to do some activities and the most interesting part is when they give food to their Muslim friends. I love food so it feels good when someone gives me food especially the one that is sweet. Hahaha. I will gladly appreciate.

Luckily for me, I am on my period and I cannot fast. In Islam, any lady who is on her period cannot fast. That is the only period when ladies have a break. But if you are not on your period, you are expected to fast but it is not compulsory. Since I am not fasting, I have the privilege to eat and drink anything I like. Presently, I have been invited over by my friend and I am fully dressed. She is not having a party. I'm just going for the normal Easter celebration and just a normal greeting.

I would love you all to check my outfit.

Well, it is my first time wearing this dress. I love short dresses so I had to sew this material as a short dress. I am a lover of gowns too. You can meber see me wear a skirt or trouser. I only put on gowns.

This is my bag. It was a gift to me from my sister's boyfriend. He bought the bag for me on my birthday. I don't know why the bag is peeling. Even at that, I still love it.

I got this slippers at the rate of $8. I hve been wearing it for long and it is very good. I like it and it is one of my favorite slipperses.

That is all. I wish us all a happy Easter celebration.

You look really cute in your outfit!
I am no longer Christian, but I was raised Catholic, and yes, it's about the resurrection of Christ (death is on Good Friday, three days before).
When I was little, you would get dressed up for church on Easter, with your nicest dress and an Easter hat, we had special white straw hats with flowers on them. I don't think anyone does that anymore, though. Maybe they do in some places and I just don't see it, lol.
That's nice that you get a break from fasting during your period. We didn't have that for lenten fasting (the time from Ash Wednesday in February until Easter), but lenten fasting isn't as strict as Ramadan fasting. Traditionally it just means eating no meat on Fridays, or no meat at all during lent (depending on your tradition), but fish doesn't count. This is why McDonald's has fish sandwiches - because of Catholics during lent! But also people usually will give something up during lent besides that. When I was younger I would be completely vegetarian (before I was vegetarian all the time), so no fish, either; sometimes people give up sweets, or alcohol, or something like that.
