Hello hivers thank God again on this platform today I come to share a little of how I met the Venezuelan instrument called cuatro for those who do not know it is a stringed instrument derived from the Spanish guitar that has 6 strings most if you know the guitar but what makes this instrument particular are its four strings that give it its name "Cuatro" and its tuning that the Venezuelan peculiarly "cambur pintón" very typical words here referring to a banana or guineo almost ripe the name of its strings are: A, D, F#, and B . It has its harmonic box similar to that of the guitar, neck, frets, pegs, bridge etc.. It is an iconic instrument of my country and can be played in various genres and in different ways as it is harmonic / melodic the most common genres are: llaneras, waltzes, boleros, passages, merengues, gaitas, calypso etc and etc..

One day like any other day I go to school where I was in fourth grade at the time in the Crispin Perez educational unit that day coincidentally there was a meeting of knowledge in my school is a contest where different students present their talents either dancing, singing, playing or painting preferably traditions of my country, that day my mom had planned as a representative of the musical part a very talented singer girl of llanera music which was not presented, My mom was anxious looking for a way to solve the problem and I told her "I'll do it" my mom asked me what are you going to do if it has to be something typical from here and we did not prepare anything, but what my mom did not know was that I had seen when she was giving classes and I was practicing the cuatro, I went and told her I play the cuatro and she answered "Do you know how to play it? I told her "yes" as soon as she could she wrote me a summary of the history of the cuatro and its parts which I learned 10 minutes before the amazing contest I learned it by heart thank God I have a golden memory, and I got on the stage where she explained the cuatro and played four songs worth the redundancy of Venezuela, how is joropo, waltz, orchid and Venezuelan merengue. I won the same contest at the municipal level, which I also won, and I got to the national level, which I also won in the category of interpretation of instruments.

That was a very special day for me and my mom, it was really against all odds that I got so far in these meetings of knowledge and my visit to Caracas was very pleasant, I stayed in a beautiful hotel and I visited many tourist attractions of the city.
