pilgrimage to the hero's grave

Hello everyone, on this occasion, I visited the tomb of a hero who defended the area from invaders, Poe Temereh. He was an envoy of Sultan Inayat Syah to defend the area from invaders and successfully brought victory to the region. My friends and I from the association took the initiative to visit his tomb. We met the person who guards the tomb and took pictures of him.

We met the person who guards the tomb and took pictures of him. The structure surrounding his tomb is located above the building, so we have to climb a ladder to reach it.

And there's one tradition that's often practiced. Every time Eid al-Adha approaches, there's a tradition that's still firmly held and practiced by the local community: the 'Seumuleung' tradition. A traditional procession of feeding the last descendant of Poe Teumereuhom with 'bue leukat' or sticky rice and other offerings. This is carried out by the local traditional leader and witnessed by distinguished guests, including the governor/deputy governor, regent, Wali Nanggroe, representatives of the people, and the local community. This ceremony is held on top of a building, the one below.

And I took all these photos using my friend's iPhone 12 Pro. Perhaps just once, so I'll be happy with my activities.
