PhotoFeed Contest - Black & White Photography Round 182: Under the streetlights

Hello colleagues!
During my time in Berlin, I went on countless street photography outings. Sometimes the streets were teeming with people, while at other times—like in this photo—they were nearly deserted. The time of day surely played a big role, as at night, crowds are usually found only in the most popular spots or where cultural or recreational events are taking place.
I took this photo right by the entrance stairs to a subway station. The young woman was waiting under the glow of a streetlamp—waiting, perhaps, for friends, a partner, or a family member coming to pick her up. That is precisely the moment where we each imagine a story based on the scene before us. Finding the moment, the setting, and the atmosphere so interesting, I didn't hesitate for a second to take the shot.
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I truly appreciate the comments you leave on my posts, and especially on the photos I share. Thank you!

Awesome work on the daily Ecency leaderboard quest, @r4f4! The atmospheric contrast and moody lighting in this shot perfectly capture Berlin’s quiet side.
