My city in BNW. Lights and shadows

Hello friends!!

Today I’m bringing you a small selection of photos from my most recent photography archive. In this case, all of them are in black and white and were taken of architectural spaces, or details of them, in Pinar del Río 🇨🇺, the city where I live.

All the photos were taken with my Canon RP, and I used different lenses: a Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 zoom, a Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 prime, and another prime, a Canon FD 50mm f/1.4, the latter being manual focus. I have two other manual focus lenses, a 24mm f/2.8 wide angle and a 135mm f/3.5 telephoto, but the ones I mentioned first are the ones I use most for city photography.

Well, now that I’ve explained the equipment, I should add that the photos were taken in the early morning and late afternoon, looking for those contrasts between light and shadow, although there is one nighttime shot among them.

The places where the photos were taken are:

•Milanés Theater.
•Cathedral.
•Baptist Temple.
•Palacio de la Computación, formerly the Spanish Colony.
•Ruins of an old varnishing workshop.
•Martí Park.

Hoy les traigo una pequeña selección de fotos de mi más reciente archivo fotográfico. En este caso todas son en blanco y negro y fueron hechas aespacios arquitectónicos, o detalles de estos, en Pinar del Río 🇨🇺, ciudad donde vivo.

Todas fueron hechas con mi Canon RP y en ellas utilicé diferentes objetivos, un zoom Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1, un prime Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 y otro prime Canon FD 50mm f/1.4, este último de enfoque manual. Tengo otros dos objetivos de enfoque manual , un gran angular de 24mm f/2.8 y un tele de 135mm f/3.5, pero los mencionados primero son los que más utilizo para las foto en la ciudad.

Bueno, explicado ya lo del equipamiento queda adecir que las fotos se hicieron en horas tempranas de la mañana y avanzado el atardecer, buscando esos contrastes entre luces y sombras, aunque hay una nocturna entre ellas.

Los lugares donde fueron hechas las fotos son:

•Teatro Milanés.
•Catedral de San Basilio.
•Templo Bautista.
•Palacio de la Computación, antiguamente Colonia Española.
•Ruinas de una barnicería.
•Parque Martí.
