Las Barrigonas landscapes
Entry to #monomad Challenge
Hello hiver.
Before the creation of this tourist center, traveling tourists would often stop by for the beautiful scenery and also to chat with the local farmers. This became a common occurrence, and the tourism sector took advantage of this to build the facilities found there today: souvenir shops, cafes with rustic, ranch-style construction, and a small dock that ends in a viewing platform in the center of a small lagoon.
The day was quite overcast, with clouds predicting a strong storm, so I wasted no time, skipped using the tourist facilities, and focused on taking the photos I'm sharing with you. Everything happened very quickly, trying to avoid the rain.

The last two photos were taken as I approached a tobacco house, surrounded by pot-bellied palm trees, typical of this area and very difficult to find elsewhere.

Antes de la creación de este centro turístico, los turistas solían detenerse para disfrutar del hermoso paisaje y charlar con los agricultores locales. Esto se convirtió en algo habitual, y el sector turístico lo aprovechó para construir las instalaciones que hoy se encuentran allí: tiendas de recuerdos, cafeterías de construcción rústica, estilo rancho, y un pequeño muelle que termina en un mirador en el centro de una pequeña laguna.
El día estaba bastante nublado, con nubes que presagiaban una fuerte tormenta, así que no perdí tiempo, omití usar las instalaciones turísticas y me concentré en tomar las fotos que comparto con ustedes. Todo sucedió muy rápido, tratando de evitar la lluvia.

Las dos últimas fotos las tomé mientras me acercaba a una casa de tabaco, rodeada de palmeras barrigas, típicas de esta zona y muy difíciles de encontrar en otro lugar.

These views remind me of my visit to a rural area in Cuba called Vega de Palma, I think it is. It is certainly a place that, like this one, has a very typical and beautiful Cuban landscape.
The name Vega de Palma is familiar to me but I'm not sure I've been there. Thank you for your comment.🙏🏻🙏🏻
