Hello hiver!

Today I'm going to surprise you with something totally different from what I usually post: informal photos from Rosy's 15th birthday celebration.

Rosy is Yaima's youngest daughter. Yaima - who I hold dear personally and professionally, messaged me. She asked if I would take some informal photos to save as memorabilia. Of course, I couldn't say no. While this is not the style of photography I prefer to do, friendship has to come first.

Today it's best to let the photos speak for themselves, so I'm showing you a selection of birthday photos, where I try to capture the most important events.

Hoy te voy a sorprender con algo totalmente diferente a lo que acostumbro a subir. Las fotos informales de la celebración de los 15 años de Rosy.

Rosy es la hija menor de Yaima. Yaima, a quien aprecio tanto personal como profesionalmente, me envió un mensaje. Me preguntó si podía tomar algunas fotos informales para guardarlas como recuerdo. Por supuesto, no pude negarme. Aunque este no es el estilo de fotografía que prefiero, la amistad es lo primero.

Hoy es mejor dejar que las fotos hablen, por lo que te muestro una selección de las fotos del cumpleaños, donde trato de recoger los eventos más importantes.

Let's start at the beginning: facial makeup and eyebrow shaping. This is possibly the most laborious and delicate step of all, as it determines whether the bride-to-be looks radiant for those present at the party and for photos.

Empecemos por el principio: el maquillaje del rostro y la delineación de las cejas. Posiblemente esta sea la etapa mas laboriosa y delicada de todas, pues de ella depende que la homenajeada se vea radiante para los presentes en la fiesta y para las fotos.

The styling process also takes time. First, the hair is left free, removing every curl and clip, and then it is carefully combed. Meanwhile, the jewelry is placed.

Now it's time to dress the young lady. It seems like an easy task, but those long dresses must be arranged with patience and care to ensure they look elegant.

After some final touches to her makeup and hair, including the placement of her crown, the little princess is truly beautiful and happy with her image, grateful to those who worked hard for that result.

It's time to introduce Rosy's parents: Roberto and Yaima, proud to see their youngest daughter now 15 years old. Who knows how many thoughts have gone through their minds during all these days of preparations and how many memories they've shared from what they've experienced?

Toca presentar a los padres de Rosy: Roberto y Yaima, orgullosos de ver a su hija más pequeña ya con 15 años. ¿Quién sabe cuantas cosas han pasado por su cabeza durante todos estos días de preparativos y cuantos recuerdos habrán compartido de lo vivido?

Then came countless photos, as everyone wanted a memory with Rosy. Of these, I chose some of the ones she took with her parents: Yaima and Roberto. The first one is with both of them, and then dancing with each of them. The last one is the most emotional of the entire series, as when she danced with Dad, she unleashed so many pent-up emotions and burst into tears.

Luego vinieron un sinnúmero de fotos, pues todos querían un recuerdo con Rosy. De ellos escogí algunos de los que se hizo con sus padres: Yaima y Roberto. La primera de ellas con ambos y luego bailando con cada uno de ellos. La última es la más emotiva de toda la serie, pues cuando bailó con papá dió rienda suelta a tantas emociones acumuladas y rompió a llorar.

Although this isn't my favorite type of photography, I won't deny that it was a pleasant and beautiful experience. It was an amazing chance for me to go through the whole preparation process for the honoree, step by step. I did not expect that it would require this much work and commitment by the makeup artists, hairstylists, and other individuals making things go so well.

Aunque este no es mi tipo de fotografía favorito, no negaré que fue una experiencia agradable y hermosa. Fue una oportunidad increíble para mí vivir todo el proceso de preparación de la homenajeada, paso a paso. No esperaba que requiriera tanto trabajo y dedicación por parte de los maquilladores, peluqueros y demás personas para que todo saliera tan bien.
