During my last stay in Berlin, I noticed the growing trend of using "analog" photography. I saw an event advertized with multiple activities that included a photo walk, exhibition, sale of books and photographic equipment, all related to the world of film photography. I took the opportunity and bought a Canon T70 from 1984. It was in perfect condition, and I really left the event very happy to be able to pick up this type of photography that I had almost forgotten.

The photos I'm sharing with you today were taken with that camera, not exactly on the day of the event, but on a later date. The place is the ICC, which is an international congress center in Berlin. It has a very peculiar architecture and is one of the examples of Brutalist Architecture in the city. I'm not going to get into what that means because I'm not an expert on the subject, so I'll leave that as homework for you 😀. What I did notice is that it hasn't been functioning regularly for some time now. It was closed, so I couldn't take photos inside, but I took the opportunity to walk around the exterior areas and do my work.

En mi última estancia en Berlín pude notar la creciente fuera que está tomando el uso de la fotografía ¨analógica¨. Vi anunciada un evento con multiples actividades que incluía una caminata fotográfica, exposición, venta de libros y equipamiento fotográfico, todo relacionado con el mundo de la fotografía con película sensible. Aproveché la ocasión y me compré una Canon T70 de 1984. Estaba en perfecto estado de conservación y realmente salí muy contento del evento, al poder retomar este tipo de fotografía que ya casi había olvidado.

Las fotos que les comparto hoy las hice con esa cámara, no precisamente ese día del evento, sino en una fecha posterior. El lugar es el ICC, que es un centro internacional de congresos de Berlín. Tiene una arquitectura muy peculiar y es uno de los ejemplos de Arquitectura Brutalista de la ciudad. No voy a entrar lo que seo significa porque no soy especialista en el tema, así que se los dejo de tarea para la casa 😀. Lo que si pude notar es que hace ya algún tiempo que no funciona regularmente. Se encontraba cerrado, así que no pude hacer fotos en su interior, pero aproveché y recorrí las áreas exteriores haciendo mi trabajo.
