Hi guys! πŸ‘‹ How are you? I hope everything is fine there.

This is my first post to this community and in community at all, so I want to apologise in advance if I broke some rule or something else. I looked for the rules but I didn't saw in the description of the community, so I hope you to fix me if I made something bad.

Now, on the topic...

I started more actively to make some photos somewhere in 2013 where I buyd my first DSLR camera - Nikon D3200. In this time I liked so much stuffs related to photography and especially I liked very much HDR images and in this time I wanted to process photos to be HDR.

To be honest I am not sure why so much I wanted on this time to process photos to achieve this effect. Nowadays, I just want to not edit too much photos and if it is needed, then make only slight and necessary corrections in exporuse, colors, contrast, shadows etc.. but no so much. Currently, some years later I just like photos in their natural colors without too much effects etc...

Next few images are from my first landscapes. I hope you don't have mind that I hosted them in deviantart.

Yes, like you see I used to play with and to put too much saturation and contrast in the past. I often experimented with different softwares looking for some kind of perfection in my eys and with my understanding for that.

And here you see the results. Over satured images, over contrasted, too noisy because of too much processing...

Ironically, I didn't realize then that in my tries to achieve something like perfection on the photo, actually it becomes worse and worse. Now, my understandings about "perfect" photo is different. In my view, very often no need so much editing, processing, tools etc.

Currently, I am trying just to keep an eye over the photo's histogram and take editings according to what it shows - under/over exposed parts etc.. And also, it is very useful to keep some basic composition rules like rules of thumb, golden ration, leading lines, diagonals etc.. and to use them depending on the situation.

So, these photos was from my first taken by my Nikon D3200 and this is my experience and lesson I have learned from these times. Thank you very much for your attention.

These photos are on πŸ“· my portfolio on DeviantArt and they are free for download and use.
