Various Fungi from lost folder

Hola, setero! Today I share not fresh photographs but vice versa - some old ones, from 2024, 2023 and even 2019! I checked the folder that I wasnt paying attention - all this captures you see in this post, are not #macro -- actually they were taken with my extra-wide travel-reportage lens: 16-35mm. But I should say, it provided a nice-close-ups. Very useful and must-have lens, as you can see; works as a macro too!

The vitality of mushrooms is amazing. In this photo you can vividly see how a small, tender, new-born chantarelle mushroom breaks the ground to pop-up! Isnt it touchy?

An ordinary trimming fungus does his job to decompose an old mossy stump.

Something unedible, but very attractive and sympatico! A nice pair.

This one had to fight hard for a place under the sun. The fly agaric, to name the names; it seems, the life have beat him hard! The fungus cap is all twisted and ruined far from normal, and the brains are askew :)

A puffball (matured and cracked). I tried to take a photo of its spores being puffed out, but with no extra lighting got zero result.

The colony of soft polypore fungus, that I encounter pretty often in various places -- might not be a rare specie. I dont know the exact name but call it myself 'that plush fungus'. 😂 It is, indeed, very 'plush' if you touch it.

And the last one for today -- the family of ink caps (Coprinus comatus).

“plush fungus”?

That name needs to be canonized.... Texture really is half the experience with mushrooms, and you've conveyed it with alot of clarity. That 16–35mm lens really pulled its weight. Wide-angle lenses ain't the usual pick for fungi shots, but you showed they can totally work. Nice piece Qwerrie

I thought I was impressed by the puffball, but then I saw the soft polypore fungus looking like a cookie! 🍪 Sooo Impressed by the photographs.

I have already mowed 2 mushroom families on my lawn 2 times. Surprisingly. The first time this happened was at the end of May.
