Took a few pics of my vintage Australia stamps - obtained a big lot last October and still havent settled them up at the album pages (cause UK section isnt my priority).
What you see below is, actually, just three crop-downs of the single frame, one by one --
...to show the magnification of the #macro.
I love orange, one of my fave colours! These stamps look so good to me. So promising... It would be wonderful to find in my mailbox an elongated, stylish envelope made of textured laid paper, franked with stamps like this, and addressed with a fountain pen by a flourishing, sweeping hand. Alas! For that one have to travel back for 100 or even 150 years...

Exactly! Some of these (earliest) stamps with non-canonical early version of Victoria's engraved portrait where she's young and not-so-pretty, are pretty costy now. Dont have any, - they are hard to get...
Pretty stamps! A lot of work to get arranged and mounted though. You'll get there eventually, but the orange one is nice!

Arrived in Pokhara, Nepal, spotted a store, like, "Coins, maps, post stamps". Not sure about other ingredients, but they had stamps on the shop sign... When I was a teenager, I'd kill to visit such a shop in a remote Asian city... Gonna check it out, definitely!
As a child, I only collected gum inserts 🤣
