August fungi : 13 UFOs and an enigmatic fatty visitor

This lonely lonely lonely white milk cap I did not want to pick up; did so just to take a shoot its cap close-up from inside. This is an edible mushroom, but it suits well rather for pickling which we arent into. Besides that it was growing solo, it was no sense to pick it up really.

Some Amanitas started to pop up. We dont need them, we prayed for Boleto! But...

These are... a family of UFOs (unidentified fungi objects). I have no idea which one certain specie of 8 billions it is. But the family looks cool, isnt it? Suddenly, I have plenty of those tiny ephemera popping up all over the place.

Its cap looks like a scrambled eggs ;) well, a bit.

Less bokeh, tremendously bigger depth of field, a lot of detalization all over the frame, more plain colours...

The next fungus is a trivia UFO again, nothing special ...

...but hey look who came to explore it!

Yet have to identify it, never seen such a caterpillar before, but definitely it must be something special, something VIP. It is huge, fat, very.... very fat caterpillar with a velvet aftertaste from touching it. Lets see in the next Natural Observer post who was it ...

For now that was all I've got so far in August. No edible shrooms, nothing to pick up -- just a visual pleasures! Hope you enjoyed it; see you next time.
