Baking, Bikes & other pleasures of Alphabet hunt

Greetings, Hiveans! A pleasure to see one of my favourite contests — Alphabet Hunt — is back to life, now run in Bangladesh community (check the rules and bravely join in).

I tried to fit myself into 6 words but failed, cause actually I wanted to create my entry using a very simple limit: what stuff did I see around this summer. I spent summer at the village and this brought on a table specific stuff — I ended up with a selection of eight words:
Blanket / Baking / Books / Bike / Bottle / Bulb / Bench / Barrel.

We had blackbirds eating our berries, and harvested a lot of blueberry, various beetles visited us; captured benches for the Hive photo challenge; for two months I was paving our walkway with heavy boulders, making it more rain-resistant — but in the end, a limit is a limit, so other things will not be included in my blog.

Blanket.

On cool evenings, the throw blanket was indispensable for each of us. My wife, my daughter, and I — we all like sitting in a hammock, holding a beverage in one hand and a book or smartphone in another... Our kitty liked the blankets too. He developed this funny habit of digging under a blanket — we did not put him there, he did it himself! A really funny habit, @nikv what do you think of it?

Books.

After garden jobs — or during rainy days instead of working in the garden — I love to sit in a hammock with a book. This summer, I read books and magazines on historical topics.

Bikes.

Well, a lengthy comment would be superfluous here: bicycle is an indispensable gadget to enjoy summer vibes at any village. Goes together well with Bottle, Beer and Beverages.

Bulb.

We obtained a few solar-powered, self-charging light bulbs — as they don't need electricity and portable, you may arrange them at any branch. In the evenings, we enjoy watching their glow along the main alley or on the terrace.

Bottle.

This drink came in a beautiful glass bottle with an embossed pattern — we kept it as a photo prop. Other bottles went to the dump (some of our evenings we rounded off with liquor fortified wines).

Baking.
