HELLO COMMUNITY!πŸŽ‰

Today I want to share with you my last weekend. My partner and I wondered what we could do, we are both passionate about photography, so without much thought, we decided to leave our home with our phones to take some beautiful pictures of the beautiful places near home.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!πŸ“·

You may wonder, "Where am I?" Is that the Golden Gate Bridge in the United States? Not really, I live in Lisbon, Portugal and as you can see in the pictures, we have an identical bridge. To know the reason, I have to share with you a brief summary of the history of the bridge: years ago, Lisbon needed a bridge to communicate the capital with Almada, which is on the other side. The funny thing is that this project took 90 years! A Portuguese architect, Miguel Pais had the idea to connect the capital with Almada, but unfortunately, he did not think that this project would take years to be realized. Years after years were spent making models and proposals at the international level, French, German, and Portuguese; unfortunately, none of them came to fruition or were rejected.
In 1959, a new international competition was started for the international public to present new projects for the Lisbon Bridge. After receiving four proposals, the North American company United States Steel Export Company emerged victorious, leaving a piece of their country in ours. But the bridge did not receive the name that we know today, it received the name of Salazar, who was the dictator who ruled the nation at that time. The moment the bridge was overthrown, it received the new name "April 25 Bridge", which is the day of the freedom of Portugal.

Photos taken at dusk and evening.

But the bridge was not usually the protagonist, we have the beautiful architecture of the Art, Architecture, and Technology Museum in Lisbon, which is exactly where we were and could not escape being photographed by us.

This photo is one of my favorites, it is of a structure that was made by the Lisbon electricity company EDP to publicize its museum a few meters away. The reason it is my number one is the depth of the darkness and the lights that stand out in the architecture. Without a doubt, this is something that attracts you, counting the detail below the photo where we can observe the movement of the water.

But of course, before all the work we did, we needed to eat a delicious meal to gather energy.

Thank you for reading my post, I hope you liked it. Please let me know in the comments which was your favorite photo.πŸ–ΌοΈ
