Tribute To Godess Durga - Water Color Painting

The above image or my first image is the partial presentation of my drawing. What yu are looking are the powerful eyes of Goddess Durga , who is also considered as embodiment of power. Indian are celebrsting the festival of Durga Puja and I thought to bring up something to mark the ocassion. And what could be better way to pay respect by dedicating my drawing to Goddess herself.
Here is my full view of my drawing which i completed few hours ago.

Before showcase my drawing process let me give you a little description of Durga puja which is celebrated around my country with full enthusiasm and chaos.

Durga puja is actually a 9 days feetival and we worship the different avatar of goddess during these 9 days. The festival is also known as Navratri as it is 9 day festival, where Nav means 9 and ratri means night.

worshipped as a principal aspect of the mother goddess Mahadevi. She is associated with protection, strength, motherhood, destruction, and wars.
Today is the sixth day of the festival, and we get a festival holidays for next 5 days. This festival trully a time to explore the culture and tradition of India. Although there were lot of excitement happens in eastern part of India still ot occupy a special place for every Indian. In Hindu terminology Durga means **Invincible. So this goddess is considered to be the supreme power.

Every people have their own way of celebrsting this festival. And I decided to make a tribute by trying to draw her face. This is a complete water color painting and i made use of

• White Sheet.
• HB Pencil (to outline the face)
• water color.

Firstly I drew , a sketch of the face. I dok refer an image from internet. And then I put olour on them. Here is the complete drawing process.

Finally, the outcome does give me a relief as it is very close to what it looked on the internet.

The entire drawing process took me well over an hour as, drawing the outline or sketch work took lot of effort. And then the choice of colour is pretty important so that it does resemble like the divine power.
