👤 ABOUT THE MODEL / SOBRE LA MODELO

Yana is a talented photographer from Russia and also a great friend. We met through a Facebook group for photographers in Santiago, Chile. Since then, we’ve collaborated on several photo sessions, always sharing a strong creative bond.

Yana es una talentosa fotógrafa proveniente de Rusia y también una gran amiga. Nos conocimos gracias a un grupo de fotógrafos en Facebook en Santiago de Chile. Desde entonces, hemos colaborado en varias sesiones, compartiendo siempre un fuerte lazo creativo.

She speaks Spanish very well, though local expressions from Latin America can still be a challenge. Despite the language gaps, she communicates beautifully—especially through her actions and posing skills.

Ella habla español muy bien, aunque algunas expresiones locales de Latinoamérica todavía le resultan un reto. A pesar de esas diferencias, se comunica de maravilla—especialmente a través de sus acciones y habilidades para posar.

🌍 SESSION CONTEXT / CONTEXTO DE LA SESIÓN

This session took place the same day I photographed Camila in Parque Bicentenario, in Vitacura, Santiago de Chile. Later that day, Yana and I moved to the front of the Vitacura Municipality, where large glass windows provided excellent light and reflections.

Esta sesión fue realizada el mismo día que fotografié a Camila en el Parque Bicentenario, en Vitacura, Santiago de Chile. Más tarde, Yana y yo nos trasladamos al frente de la Municipalidad de Vitacura, donde los grandes ventanales ofrecían excelente luz y reflejos.

The location also had wide stairs and open spaces that created a fresh, airy atmosphere, enhanced by a strong breeze that gave movement to the images.

El lugar también tenía escaleras amplias y espacios abiertos que creaban un ambiente fresco y aireado, potenciado por una brisa fuerte que daba movimiento a las imágenes.

🎯 ARTISTIC GOAL / OBJETIVO ARTÍSTICO

We played with natural light, reflections, and movement. Yana, being a photographer and model, guided the session effortlessly by posing herself and then mirroring those poses for the models she works with. She truly speaks through her body.

Jugamos con la luz natural, los reflejos y el movimiento. Yana, siendo fotógrafa y modelo, guió la sesión con total fluidez, posando ella misma y luego mostrando esas poses a los modelos con los que trabaja. Ella realmente habla con su cuerpo.
