Teds Sanctuary - Collage for/für LMAC 181 [EN | DE]
Until Monday at midnight (UTC) the LMAC contest still is running. Then, as usual, the winners will be selected by the community.
I have already finished my collage today, although I will not send it into the official race (because in LMAC team).
I would be very happy to admire your collage for the LMAC-Contest.
Have a look - even if you think you are not an artist, LMAC gives you the perfect opportunity to prove yourself wrong.

Ich hab meine Collage schon heute fertig, obwohl ich sie gar nicht ins offizielle Rennen schicke werde(weil im LMAC team).
Ich würde mich sehr freuen, auch deine Collage für den LMAC-Contest bewundern zu dürfen.
Schau doch mal rein - Auch wenn du glaubst, du seist kein Künstler, hast du bei LMAC eine super Gelegenheit dir das Gegenteil zu beweisen.
About my collage
Some friends of mine and my wife live in a pretty ugly city, in the middle of gray apartment blocks, surrounded by concrete, traffic and bad quality air.
Basically, it's a dreary part of the world.
But nevertheless, they too have created their own little personal paradise within their own four walls. Entering their apartment is like walking through a stargate to another planet.
I have often thought about how I would create my little paradise if I had to live in such a place. And it was always clear to me I need nature, green, sun and blue sky. This is what my imaginary city shack definitely wouldn't lack.
Since I like to be creative and love to paint things on walls, it would probably be a paintbrush that would do the magic of bringing all that into my apartment.
The first time I saw @shaka's beautiful template photo, I thought, "This would make a great photo wallpaper.". Shortly before that, I was thinking about the friends mentioned above, so the inspiration was pretty close.
Ted is the protagonist in my collage and he is in the process of creating a sanctuary in his city apartment. Teds Sanctuary.
Über meine Collage
Freunde von mir und meiner Frau, leben in einer ziemlich häßlichen Stadt, inmitten von grauen Hochhäusern,umgeben von Beton, Straßenverkehr und schlechter Luft.
Es ist wahrlich ein tristes Stück dieser Welt.
Aber auch Sie haben sich ihr kleines persönliches Paradies innerhalb ihrer eigenen vier Wände erschaffen. Ihre Wohnung zu betreten, ist wie der Gang durch ein Sternentor, hin zu einem anderen Planeten.
Ich habe oft darüber nachgedacht, wie ich mir mein kleines Paradies gestallten würde, müsste ich an so einem Ort wohnen. Und mir war jedes Mal klar, ich brauche Natur, das Grün, die Sonne und den blauen Himmel. Das ist, was in meiner imaginären Stadtbude keinesfalls fehlen würde.
Da ich gerne kreativ bin und es liebe, Dinge an Wände zu malen, wäre es vermutlich ein Pinsel, der mir all das in die Wohnung zaubern würde.
Als ich @shaka's schönes Vorlagen-Foto das erste Mal sah, dachte ich: "Das wäre eine tolle Foto-Tapete.". Da ich kurz vorher über die oben genannten Freunde nachdachte, lag die Inspiration recht nah.
Ted ist in meiner Collage der Protagonist und er ist gerade dabei, sich eine Zuflucht in seiner Stadtwohnung zu erschaffen. "Teds Sanctuary" (Teds Zuflucht)

These are the materials I have made use of to create my collage. Additionally to Photo Bashing, I also painted some details myself (shadows, lights, ...).
For the work on the collage I only used the open source image editor GIMP.

Materialien
Dies sind die Materialien die ich zum Erstellen meiner Collage verwendet habe. Zusätzlich zum Photobashing, habe ich auch Details selbst gemalt (Schatten, Lichter, ...).
Ich habe für die komplette Arbeit an der Collage, das open source Bildbearbeitungsprogramm GIMP verwendet.

What is LMAC?
LMAC is a great community for artists of all skill levels. The name of the community is an abbreviation and stands for "Let's make a collage".
Just take a look. Even if you think you are not an artist, LMAC will probably prove you wrong.

Are you a good photographer and would like to contribute some nice good quality photos in exchange for good votes and tribute?
We are currently building our own photo/image library that we can use as a image source for our collages, but also every Hiver beyond LMAC is very welcome to use the images in it.
