I'm a bit late this time with my LMAC collage. Voting the winners of round #205 is already fullly in progress. But no matter, since I'm anyway only participating for fun (because I'm a member of the jury).
My collage this week is about a hot topic, spring clean-up.

Dieses Mal bin ich etwas spät dran, mit meiner LMAC Collage. Runde #205 ist bereits in der Gewinner-Abstimmung. Aber das macht nichts, da ich ja ohnehin nur zum Spaß teilnehme (dweil ich Jury-Mitglied bin).
Meine dieswöchige Collage handelt um ein top-aktuelles Thema, den Frühjahrsputz.
About my collage
Just before I started working on my collage for this round, I was still in the middle of my traditional annual spring clean-up. It's always quite tedious, but it's also a lot of fun. For me, it's a kind of a ritual welcoming new life and saying goodbye to death - winter is leaving, summer is coming.
Then, when I looked at @shaka's template photo for round #205, I thought about the old ship: " Wow, this old boat really needs a bit of care.". Sure, I was still fully in cleaning mode. :-D
And so the inspiration for my collage was born.
Über meine Collage
Noch bevor ich mich an die Arbeit für meine Collage für diese Runde machte, steckte ich noch mitten im traditionellen, jährlichen Frühjahrsputz. Zwar ist es immer recht mühsam, macht aber gleichzeitig auch viel Freude. Für mich ist es eine Art rituelle Begrüßung des Lebens und Verabschiedung des Todes - Der Winter geht, der Sommer kommt.
Als ich dann @shaka's Vorlagenfoto für Runde #205 betrachtete, dachte ich beim Anblick dieses alten Schiffes: "Man, dieser alte Kahn hätte echt mal ein wenig Pflege nötig.". Klar, ich war ja noch voll im Reinemache-Modus. :-D
Und so ward auch schon die Inspiration für meine Collage geboren.
Materials
These are the materials I have made use of to create my collage. Additionally to Photo Bashing, I also painted some details myself (shadows, lights, water effects, water parts, ...).
For the work on the collage I only used the open source image editor GIMP.

Materialien
Dies sind die Materialien die ich zum Erstellen meiner Collage verwendet habe. Zusätzlich zum Photobashing, habe ich auch Details selbst gemalt (Schatten, Lichter, Wassereffekte, stellenweise Wasser, ...).
Ich habe für die komplette Arbeit an der Collage, das open source Bildbearbeitungsprogramm GIMP verwendet.

What is LMAC?
LMAC is a great community for artists of all skill levels. The name of the community is an abbreviation and stands for "Let's make a collage".
Just take a look. Even if you think you are not an artist, LMAC will probably prove you wrong.

Are you a good photographer and would like to contribute some nice good quality photos in exchange for good votes and tribute?
We are currently building our own photo/image library that we can use as a image source for our collages, but also every Hiver beyond LMAC is very welcome to use the images in it.

Drive through detailing. Even the king crab has a job cleaning off the sea water. What a unique idea. I like the placement of the eyes on top of the shark vessel. But the bear holding the broom is awesome. Next stop, a thorough sweeping. I wonder how much this shoreline company charges? Nicely done.
