Herewith I post my first collage in 2024.

Hiermit poste ich meine erste Collage im Jahre 2024.
About my collage
Music is a great source of inspiration for me. A good song can not only make me clean my windows or tidy up the car. Quite often, it also leads to creative activities.
That's what happened with this collage. I was listening to "The Pathway" by Jakare. Touched by the rhythm, I started to imagine a scene to this song in my mind's eye. Somehow I liked what I saw.
So I couldn't wait any longer, opened GIMP and implemented what I just had imagined.
Actually, the picture is already a few months old. But I had forgotten that it was already finished.
It depicts a ritual of worshipping the moon.
Über meine Collage
Musik ist für mich ein großartiger Inspirator. Ein gutes Lied kann bei mir nicht nur dazu führen, dass ich mal wieder meine Fenster putze oder das Auto aufräume. Ziemlich oft, führt es auch zu kreativen Betätigungen.
So war das auch mit dieser Collage. Ich hörte gerade "The Pathway" von Jakare. Bewegt vom Rhythmus, begann ich, mir vor meinem geistigen Auge eine passende Szenerie zu diesem Lied vorzustellen. Irgendwie gefiel mir, was ich sah.
So hielt es nicht lange aus, öffnete GIMP und setzte um, was ich mir da gerade vorstellte.
Das Bild ist eigentlich schon ein paar Monate alt. Ich hatte aber vergessen, dass ich es schon fertig gestellt hatte.
Es zeigt ein Ritual der Mondanbetung.

These are the materials I have made use of to create my collage. Additionally to Photo Bashing, I also painted some details myself (shadows, lights, ...).
For the work on the collage I only used the open source image editor GIMP.

Materialien
Dies sind die Materialien die ich zum Erstellen meiner Collage verwendet habe. Zusätzlich zum Photobashing, habe ich auch Details selbst gemalt (Schatten, Lichter, ...).
Ich habe für die komplette Arbeit an der Collage, das open source Bildbearbeitungsprogramm GIMP verwendet.

What is LMAC?
LMAC is a great community for artists of all skill levels. The name of the community is an abbreviation and stands for "Let's make a collage".
Just take a look. Even if you think you are not an artist, LMAC will probably prove you wrong.

Are you a good photographer and would like to contribute some nice good quality photos in exchange for good votes and tribute?
We are currently building our own photo/image library that we can use as a image source for our collages, but also every Hiver beyond LMAC is very welcome to use the images in it.

I listened to half of it. Not exactly something I would listen to recreationally, but I can see the relationship to your collage. Who knows what goes on in those mysterious brains of ours? I know I sound antediluvian, but I wouldn't care about the process if AI had done this. What makes it interesting, is how you came up with the idea.
The piece is symbolic, and yet there is a cohesive scene--action.
Nice first collage for 2024. I'm having trouble getting the energy to follow my inspiration lately. Hit with a second virus. Sort of worn out.

Being creative is so important for our health.
When I was ill, I had massive pain in my limbs and had trouble thinking. Playing the guitar then was like heaven. The vibrations eased my pain and the harmony cleared my head.
Actually, it's not even exactly something I would listen on purpose. I have a huge collection of thematically sorted random music. Most of them I don't know. It's always a surprise what my player shuffles to the surface. And sometimes it's a gift when it comes with such an inspiring power.
Indeed, it really is pure brain magic. All it can take is just the right music, at the right time, under the right circumstances, for the brain to start doing some interesting associative puzzle work. :-D
In this case, I think the steady, somewhat ritualistic rhythm and the country elements, along with my vivid interest in ancient civilizations, hit the trigger.

You're a good friend. It's taking a long time, but it is happening.
I'm trying to find that quiet place in myself where creative 'juices' originate. I find the place but haven't got the energy to follow through. It will come. Another week, I hope I'll be working with ideas again.
