Did you know that you can submit several collages to the LMAC contest? Which by the way runs until November 4th!
The one presented here is also my second for this round.
However, I'm only taking part for fun, as I'm not allowed to actively participate as a jury member.

Hast du gewusst, dass du mehrere Collagen zum LMAC-Contest, der übrigens noch bis zum 4ten November läuft, einreichen kannst?
Die hier vorgestellte, ist ebenfalls meine zweite für diese Runde.
Allerdings mache ich nur zum Spaß mit, da ich als Jury-Mitglied, natürlich nicht aktiv teilnehmen darf.
About my collage
First of all, of course my collage does not represent my own mother-in-law, but the well-known “evil mother-in-law phenomenon”. ^___^
In comedies in theater, novels and cinema, they are often the focus of the story. They are portrayed as evil and intriguing. Even among friends, colleagues and family members, you can find people who can sing songs about them.
But does this phenomenon really fully correspond to reality, or are the “bad mothers-in-law” not actually misunderstood people?
Good mothers are generally said to have a strong protective instinct and a caring nature.
Attributes that we can very well appreciate. But why do many people find these attributes of our mothers after marriage rather disturbing and invasive? And does it sometimes actually get worse because we stop letting our mothers-in-law participate in our own lives?
My own mother-in-law only had such tendencies in the beginning. However, this soon ended when we made her feel even more that she was still an important part of our lives - an advisor and valued person.
I love her. Is it really that rare?
Über meine Collage
Gleich vorweg, meine Collage steht selbstverständlich nicht für meine eigene Schwiegermutter, sondern lediglich für das bekannte "böse Schwiegermutter Phänomen". ^___^
In Komödien in Theater, Romanen und Kino sind sie häufig im Fokus der Geschichte. Böse und intrigant werden sie dargestellt. Selbst unter Freunden, Bekannten und Familienmitgliedern kann man Menschen finden, die Lieder über sie singen können.
Doch entspricht dieses Phänomen wirklich voll umfänglich der Realität, oder sind die "bösen Schwiegermütter" nicht eigentlich missverstandene Menschen?
Guten Müttern sagt man allgemein einen starken Beschützer-Instinkt und ein behütendes Wesen nach.
Attribute, die man sehr wohl zu schätzen wissen kann. Warum aber, empfinden viele Menschen diese Attribute unserer Mütter nach der Eheschließung, als eher störend, invasiv? Und wird es in Wahrheit manchmal sogar gerade deswegen schlimmer, weil man aufhört die Schwiegermütter am eigenen Leben teilhaben zu lassen?
Meine eigene Schwiegermutter hatte jedenfalls nur anfänglich etwaige derartige Tendenzen. Allerdings endete dies bald, als wir ihr noch mehr das Gefühl gaben, weiterhin ein wichtiger Teil unseres Lebens zu sein - Ein Ratgeber und geschätzter Mensch.
Ich liebe sie. Ist das wirklich so selten?

These are the materials I have made use of to create my collage. Additionally to Photo Bashing, I also painted some details myself (shadows, lights, ...).
For the work on the collage I only used the open source image editor GIMP.

Materialien
Dies sind die Materialien die ich zum Erstellen meiner Collage verwendet habe. Zusätzlich zum Photobashing, habe ich auch Details selbst gemalt (Schatten, Lichter, ...).
Ich habe für die komplette Arbeit an der Collage, das open source Bildbearbeitungsprogramm GIMP verwendet.

What is LMAC?
LMAC is a great community for artists of all skill levels. The name of the community is an abbreviation and stands for "Let's make a collage".
Just take a look. Even if you think you are not an artist, LMAC will probably prove you wrong.

Are you a good photographer and would like to contribute some nice good quality photos in exchange for good votes and tribute?
We are currently building our own photo/image library that we can use as a image source for our collages, but also every Hiver beyond LMAC is very welcome to use the images in it.

Schau einfach mal rein. Auch wenn du denkst, du seist kein Künstler, wird dir LMAC eventuell das Gegenteil beweisen.

Wir bauen zur Zeit unsere eigene Foto/Bilder-Bibliothek auf, die wir für unsere Collagen als Bilder-Quelle nutzen können und aus welcher sich auch jeder Hiver ausserhalb von LMAC, sehr gerne bedienen darf.

I absolutely love this one!!! Your imagination was working over time in envisioning such a monstrous mother-in-law.
I know you show the mother-in-law as the obstacle in the way of true love, but that monster could represent any barrier. It's what the knight must go through if he wants to possess his prize.
Just a wonderful, beautiful (can a monster be beautiful?) expressive collage.

Die normalen LMAC-Runden gehen seit diesem Monat einen Monat lang. Zwischendurch wirds (beginnt am Donnerstag) aber noch einen Themen-Contest geben.

Hoffentlich. Ich vermisse die Zeit, als KI noch für Intellektuellen-Brillen und derartiges galt.

Ich vermisse das nicht und bin Froh das die Thematik endlich in der Allgemeinheit ankommt. Sogar sehr.
Das ist ja ein Werkzeug und das braucht noch einigen Feinschliff. Wie so vieles das wir Basteln und Bauen.
Trotzdem wird es nie diesen Geist haben, wie zum Beispiel eine Collage von dir oder ein Bild. Oder zum Beispiel mein Geschreibsel. Das kann eine KI nie im Leben "simulieren". Weswegen wir immer außer Konkurrenz bleiben im Zweifel.
Ich gugg immer gerne bei dir vorbei des weist Du bestimmt. :-)
