Eternal cycles - Collage for/für LMAC 182 [EN | DE]

Yesterday I enjoyed one of the, probably, last warm evenings of the year in my garden.
Equipped with my tablet PC and really good mood, I set to work for my collage to LMAC round 182.
The time flew by quickly. But in the end, I was quite pleased to have spent the beautiful warm autumn evening with such a satisfying exercise and did it in my garden.

Gestern habe ich mir einen der, vermutlich, letzten warmen Abende des Jahres im Garten gegönnt.
Mit meinem Tablett-PC ausgerüstet und richtig guter Laune, machte ich mich an die Arbeit für meine Collage zu LMAC Runde 182.
Die Zeit verging wie im Fluge. Doch war ich am Ende recht zufrieden, den schönen warmen Herbstabend mit einer so erfüllenden Tätigkeit und in meinem Garten verbracht zu haben.
So kann es dir auch gehen. :-) Schau doch mal bei uns in der LMAC-Gemeinde rein, entdecke tolle Kunstwerke der LMACianer, mach bei den Contests mit und lass deinen inneren Künstler mit wöchentlichen Herausforderungen wachsen.
Ich nehme selbstverständlich nur symbolisch teil, da ich ja die Ehre habe, der Jurie angezugehören.
About my collage
It wasn't hard to see something historical in the template for round 182. A crumbling building, a desert-like terrain, and in the distance a small hill that, with a little imagination, could be easily mistaken for a pyramid.
At least for me a feeling of Tutankhamun and Cleopatra arose immediately.
My collage is about time. More precisely, about the temporal cycles to which everything seems to be subject, with which everything comes into being, with which everything fades away.
Über meine Collage
Es war nicht schwer, in der Vorlage zur Runde 182 etwas Historisches zu sehen. Ein zerfallenes Gebäude, wüstenähnliches Gelände und in der Ferne ein kleiner Hügel, den man mit etwas Fantasie, leicht für eine Pyramide halten könnte.
Bei mir kam jedenfalls sofort ein Gefühl von Tutankhamun und Cleopatra auf.
In meiner Collage geht es um die Zeit. Genauer gesagt um die zeitlichen Zyklen, denen alles zu unterliegen scheint, mit denen alles entsteht, mit denen alles vergeht.

These are the materials I have made use of to create my collage. Additionally to Photo Bashing, I also painted some details myself (shadows, lights, star...).
For the work on the collage I only made use of the open source image editor GIMP.

Materialien
Dies sind die Materialien die ich zum Erstellen meiner Collage verwendet habe. Zusätzlich zum Photobashing, habe ich auch Details selbst gemalt (Schatten, Lichter, Stern...).
Für die komplette Arbeit an der Collage, habe ich einzig nur von dem open source Bildbearbeitungsprogramm GIMP Gebrauch gemacht.

What is LMAC?
LMAC is a great community for artists of all skill levels. The name of the community is an abbreviation and stands for "Let's make a collage".
Just take a look. Even if you think you are not an artist, LMAC will probably prove you wrong.

Are you a good photographer and would like to contribute some nice good quality photos in exchange for good votes and tribute?
We are currently building our own photo/image library that we can use as a image source for our collages, but also every Hiver beyond LMAC is very welcome to use the images in it.

Ditto. This veil of past around this legendary culture, also keeps my own curiosity around ancient Egypt alive.
I have watched 30-40 times videos of the forbidden flights over the pyramids in time-lapse. Only in the hope of maybe finding a small, so far undiscovered detail. 😃

OMG! My theme in my collage (the first I made) is very similar. I used your hourglass and it dominates the center of the piece. I'm still going to put that collage up, but what a remarkable coincidence :)
That image does resonate, doesn't it? I love the timeless nature of your collage. Time is theme of mine also.
