Child of the time - LMAC 144 [EN | DE]
Round 144 of the contest is still open and, as always, it's worth taking part. Once again, Shaka has provided a fantastic template photo for this round of LMAC and a huge bunch of 138 Hive is waiting in the pool for the winners.

I'm participating again this time, completely out of competition. Just for the "fun", since we jury members are not allowed to participate in the contest, of course.
And it really felt immensely good to have the oportunity to get something a bit off my chest in an artistic way just by doing my collage.
Runde 144 des Contests läuft noch und es lohnt sich, wie immer, mitzumachen. Abermals hat Shaka ein fantastisches Vorlagenfoto für diese Runde LMAC bereitgestellt und fette 138 Hive warten auf die Gewinner.
Mach ruhig mal mit, falls du noch nicht dabei bist, und entdecke dein angeborenes Künstlertalent, falls du noch nichts davon weißt.
Ich nehme auch dieses Mal wieder, ganz außer Konkurrenz teil. Nur für den "Spaß", da wir Jury-Mitglieder natürlich nicht am Contest teilnehmen dürfen.
Es tat immens gut, mir mit meiner Collage etwas, einfach auf künstlerische Weise, ein bisschen von der Seele reden zu dürfen.
About the collage
Actually, at first I wanted to make a funny collage. I even had an idea for that already.
However, this round of LMAC just came during one of my little moments of "Worldache" that have been occurring a bit more frequently to me lately. It's a source of creative energy that I didn't intend to waste.
Some of the recent, social and political developments in the world, do not leave my heart cold too. Often my mind spins around the corresponding topics, and not seldom I then look quite worried towards the future. Also the future of my children and grandchildren and all the little people who just take on the legacy of our time and will still take on.
So much for the inspiration for my collage. However, at first I could not think of a way to depict something that would best for all the images I had in my head about this. So I decided to start by depicting the feelings I had about it. I wrote them down and then tried to stage them on the contest template.
All the suffering I felt. Despair, fear, sorrow, resulting from deprivation, fleeing, pain and death.
It was really not that easy to put the poor boy in this horrible scene. :-|
I have to admit, it's not a very inviting collage and the colors aren't pretty either. Even the topic is absolutely bad.
At least I hope it looks that way! :-)
Über die Collage
Eigentlich wollte ich zuerst eine lustige Collage machen. Dazu hatte ich sogar schon eine Idee.
Diese Runde LMAC erwischte mich jedoch genau rechtzeitig, während einer meiner kleinen, in letzter Zeit etwas häufiger werdenden Weltschmerz-Momente. Eine Quelle kreativer Energie, die ich nicht ungenutzt lassen wollte.
Einige der jüngsten sozialen und politischen Entwicklungen auf der Welt, lassen ebenfalls mich nicht kalt. Häufig drehen sich meine Gedanken um die entsprechenden Themen und ich schaue dabei nicht selten recht sorgenvoll Richtung Zukunft. Auch jener Zukunft, meiner Kinder und Enkelkinder und allen kleinen Menschen, die das Erbe unserer Zeit gerade antreten und noch antreten werden.
Soviel zur Inspiration für meine Collage. Mir fiel jedoch zunächst kein Weg ein, etwas das all den Bilder entspricht, die ich dazu in meinem Kopf hatte, abzubilden. Also entschloss ich mich, zunächst die Gefühle abzubilden, die ich dazu fühlte. Ich schrieb sie auf und versuchte sie dann auf der Contest-Vorlage zu inszenieren.
Eben all das Leid, das ich sah. Verzweiflung, Angst, Kummer, resultierend aus Entbehrung, Flucht, Schmerz und Tod.
Es war wirklich gar nicht so einfach, den armen Buben in diese schreckliche Szene zu setzen. :-|
Zugegeben, es ist keine sehr einladende Collage und die Farben sind ebenfalls keine Schönen. Sogar das Thema ist absolut schlecht.
Ich hoffe es zumindest! :-)
