GUARDIANS OF HOPE, THAT IS THE TITLE OF MY PHOTOGRAPHIC SERIES THAT TALKS ABOUT COEXISTENCE [ENG/ESP]

I recently learned about the existence of the Salón Ana Frank, an artistic exhibition that takes place here in Venezuela, with the intention of gathering and presenting in an exhibition various pieces from different artistic disciplines that share the same theme representing coexistence. This year I participated in the applications, I wanted to participate with a painting, but when I found out about the call there was little time left for its closing, so I decided to participate by applying for a series of 3 photographs that I took capturing the scene in which the little daughter of a friend of mine was playing in the grass, but the action she was performing seemed very curious to me and turned out to be perfect to relate it to the theme of coexistence. This photographic series entitled "GUARDIANS OF HOPE" is accompanied by an exquisite synopsis in which I argue with more metaphors and aphorisms, my interpretation of coexistence within the scene captured in the photographs.
Hace poco me entere de la existencia del Salón Ana Frank un encuentro artístico expositivo que se realiza aquí en Venezuela, con la intención de reunir y presentar en una exposición varias piezas de diferentes diciplinas artísticas que comparten el mismo tema en representación de la coexistencia; este año participe en las postulaciones, quería participar con una pintura, pero cuando me enteré de la convocatoria quedaba poco tiempo para su clausura, por eso decidí participar postulando una serie de 3 fotografías que realice capturando la escena en la que la hija pequeña de un amigo mío, estaba jugando en el césped, pero la acción que estaba realizando me pareció algo muy curioso y resulto ser perfecto para relacionarlo con el tema de la coexistencia. Esta serie fotográfica titulada "GUARDIANES DE LA ESPERANZA", la acompañe con una exquisita sinopsis en la que argumento con más metáforas y aforismos, mi interpretación de la coexistencia dentro de la escena capturada en las fotografías.
"In a setting where aridity struggles to assert itself, an eight-year-old girl discovers a small oasis of life. Determined to protect this fragile sprout, she carefully surrounds it, creating a boundary with small stones that separates it from the dry land. Her gesture, simple but profound, symbolizes the resilience of life, the coexistence of opposites and the importance of caring for the vulnerable.
"En un escenario donde la aridez lucha por imponerse, una niña de ocho años descubre un pequeño oasis de vida. Con la determinación de proteger este frágil brote, lo rodea con cuidado, creando un límite con pequeñas piedritas que lo separa de la tierra seca. Su gesto, sencillo pero profundo, simboliza la resiliencia de la vida, la coexistencia de lo opuesto y la importancia de cuidar lo vulnerable.
This photographic series invites us to reflect on our connection with nature and our responsibility to protect it. The girl, as guardian of this small ecosystem, reminds us that hope can blossom in the most unexpected places and that beauty often emerges from the juxtaposition of fragility and strength.
Esta serie fotográfica nos invita a reflexionar sobre nuestra conexión con la naturaleza y nuestra responsabilidad de protegerla. La niña, como guardiana de este pequeño ecosistema, nos recuerda que la esperanza puede florecer en los lugares más inesperados y que, a menudo, la belleza surge de la yuxtaposición de la fragilidad y la fuerza.
Through this powerful contrast between dry land and the sprouting of life, we explore humanity's ability to coexist with diversity and to build bridges between seemingly opposing worlds. The girl, with her innocence and childlike wisdom, invites us to look beyond appearances and discover the beauty hidden in everyday life.
A través de este poderoso contraste entre la tierra seca y el brote de vida, exploramos la capacidad de la humanidad para coexistir con la diversidad y para construir puentes entre mundos aparentemente opuestos. La niña, con su inocencia y su sabiduría infantil, nos invita a mirar más allá de las apariencias y a descubrir la belleza que se esconde en lo cotidiano.
This photographic series is a call to action, an invitation to take care of our planet and to promote coexistence between all living beings. By protecting this little sprout of life, the girl shows us the way to a more sustainable and equitable future."
Esta serie fotográfica es un llamado a la acción, una invitación a cuidar de nuestro planeta y a fomentar la coexistencia entre todos los seres vivos. Al proteger este pequeño brote de vida, la niña nos muestra el camino hacia un futuro más sostenible y equitativo."
In this process of understanding that I have been going through to understand art, I have stopped giving myself titles such as calling myself "artist" or "photographer", so I clarify that, if I am to be considered something, I would say that I am a researcher who is investigating the different artistic disciplines in search of understanding what is PLASTIC ART? Sometimes I manage to capture scenes in photographs that can captivate the viewer or perhaps they just captivate my attention, this is just part of my learning process. En este proceso de entendimiento que he venido transitando para comprender el arte, me he desprendido de adjudicarme títulos tales como llamarme "artista" o "fotógrafo", por eso aclaro que, si es de considerarme algo, diría que soy un investigador que está indagando por las diferentes diciplinas artísticas en busca de comprender ¿qué es la PLASTICA?; en ocasiones logro capturar escenas en fotografías que pueden llegar a cautivar al espectador o quizás solo cautivan mi atención, esto es solo parte de mi proceso de aprendizaje.
