The walls may not have ears, but the trees certainly have eyes in these parts. There is always something to see for those willing to keep a keen watch. Most humans can't help decorating, from gardeners to the spirituality and zen inclined.

This Buddha is tucked aside in the West End, maintaining its serenity through the rain, the odd snowfall, and into the Spring and Summer. It sits beneath a camellia tree that is approaching a full bloom. Some beautiful soul gathered up the petals a laid them in Siddhartha's stone lap.

The statue has rested here for more than a decade. For how long, I am not sure. It's serenity and grace is powerful, but still no match for nature.

Little by little, the growth of moss is wrestling away the enlightened one's grip on the material world.

I chastised myself at first for never noticing this spectacular piece of architectural art, but then I noted that it was only a year and a bit old.
