The day began with an exploration of Greek city-states with minime before we headed out for a couple hours at the space center.
We got there early and with plenty of time for the Cosmic Courtyard and its fabulous new apocalypse screen ... not its actual title ... where one can drag her finger across the screen and collide the Moon with the Earth, or cook one side of Mars to a crisp. The Power.
Speaking of Mars, we saw Our Martian Neighborhood in the Star Theatre, hosted by Bryce. It was a fascinating talk about why Mars is the best, but not the only place humans might one day settle upon, from its balmy minus 60 degrees average temperatures, to its thin carbon dioxide atmosphere. It would take some sciencing, but we could perhaps one day make it our second home.

We also saw a Day in Space where minime got to volunteer on stay as a dinner table in virtual space. He loves to volunteer and did a fabulous job at it. We had a friend who works a the space center for the show and all in all it was a lovely afternoon, until we left and discovered the Martian invasion was coming this way. I mean its not a weather balloon but I think the signs are clear.
