Representative of "Hive Blockchain" as a Content Creator at TechEx Europe 2023, RAI Amsterdam Netherlands

When GP (@guiltyparties) texted me if I wanted to be at TechEx 2023 as one of the representatives of Hive Blockchain, I was not only surprised but also felt special (not gonna lie). I haven't spoken to GP for a very long time and our last conversation was probably a year ago during wartime. I personally never consider myself educated when it comes to technology and blockchain knowledge and about Hive, I am still learning. Besides interacting with people is kind of difficult for me but also in my mind, I was thinking maybe I should grab the opportunity as I have nothing to lose. I have never been to a blockchain expo and this event was not only about blockchain and web3, but also AI, cyber securities, digital marketing, and so on. All the big companies were going to participate and gonna give their presentation and will introduce their products. So, I was nervous.

The day finally arrived and I went to the event with a nervous soul. What if someone asks me some technical, web3, or blockchain-related questions? What if someone asks me what's my project on Hive? I don't have any answers. Anyway, it was really easy to reach Amsterdam RAI though I faced some trouble with the train schedule. A lot of people were already there and everyone seemed to be talking to each other about some important matter and sharing information. Anyway, when I entered the venue, it seemed interesting. A lot of things to know, I thought it would be a good chance to introduce myself to AI and all the new technologies. I was trying to blend into a different world.

At first, I thought to explore some stalls and get to know the companies. Some information was over my head because I didn't understand anything, but I enjoyed free sweets from the stalls. LOL...

Finally, I reached the coffee bar sponsored by Hive Blockchain. Not only the structure looked unique but also the design was amazing. At first, I didn't know who designed it but later came to know Crimsonclad designed it. She has done a really good job and seems like people noticed Hive while enjoying the coffee; "Hive Coffee". The crowd was already there, people were talking, chatting, networking, and connecting with each other. I bought my first coffee from the bar and decided to join the "Web3, Blockchain and Generation presentation". It was interesting to hear all the information and what people think about web3, metaverse, and blockchain.

Finally, after the presentation, I met my other fellow Hivers, @mcsamm who flew from the UK to Amsterdam as a speaker of Hive, @rubencress ( Hive Photographer), @coldbeetrootsoup, and of course @blind-spot (almost always with me). This was the first time I met Sam who presented the Social Impact of Hive Blockchain. I have met Ruben, the coldbeetrootsoup team before so it was really nice to see them again.

The presentation by Sam was really nice and I personally congratulate him once again for representing Hive. He really did a great job. In my mind, I was thinking really Hive blockchain is amazing and many people didn't have any idea about Hive Blockchain and what Hive can do until today. After his presentation it was networking time, well I felt thousands of butterflies in my stomach when people started coming to me with the questions.

Later, we decided we were gonna explore the Expo so we went to several stalls and tried to understand their project and how Hive can be incorporated or blended with the other projects. I personally discovered some unique and interesting projects as well and connected with them. For example, temperature control systems in a sustainable way, ecosystem measurement devices in rural areas, software companies from Ukraine, and many more.

Initially, I was shy and couldn't talk properly but later I opened up a little bit. Later we also met a researcher who was from Germany, a crypto enthusiast, and was very interested in Hive. I hope he is going to open his account on Hive soon because he has a community of his own and he was looking for a platform for his community people.

At some point, I was a little bit tired and couldn't even talk properly because I get tired so easily. So I had to leave early and didn't join the afterparty where the was the opportunity to connect with the people again.

Day 2 was the same, I did some networking, saw presentations, and visited some stalls to talk to companies. My background is in architecture and management and like I said I am still a learner about blockchain and web3 so it was difficult to answer some technical questions in a creative way. Well, I am not a creative person anymore.

I am sure you are going to know about this event in detail from other Hive members' posts who attended the event. So, I am gonna end this post here.

Thanks to everyone who attended the event, it was lovely meeting you and thank you Hive for this opportunity to present Hive as a content creator. It was an honor for me.

You were a very important part of the representation of the blockchain. What you feel is a lacking is actually your strength.
Remember we met someone who said they don't totally understand the technical side of any blockchain and the tech is a mystery?

Doesn't it sound similar to how you describe yourself?

Then again, you have been on the blockchain for a very long time, created amazing content, led groups of newbies, and been a functioning and integral part of communities.

You are the bridge that many people are looking for. You are the answer to question of many people. Onboarding and retention on the blockchain has to be simple, even more than Web2, and you are a living example of that being possible.

Don't doubt yourself. You are just as important as the next hiver. And it was absolutely amazing to have you represent the blockchain at TechEx.

You are being naive to me because I saw how well you communicate with others, talk about Hive, or try to intricate, relate, or merge Hive to other projects. Talking to people is not so easy when it comes to introducing yourself and your project. Even I met one person who thought I was selling or was trying to convince him to open an account on Hive and I directly said, I am not a seller, and selling word is not appropriate for the blockchain. I really wished people would have understood the potential of blockchain and Web3 and felt more comfortable just like they usually feel about cyber security, digital tech, or AI.

Hive has a lot of potential than we can't even imagine. Thank you so much...

I think I'd want to hide under a rock if I was supposed to do an event like that. Then again I like talking about Hive so I might crawl out from under my rock for it. Either way I'm glad you got the chance to be a Hive presenter :)

I think I'd want to hide under a rock if I was supposed to do an event like that.

It seems scary at first but once you find suitable individuals and surroundings, everything becomes easier.

I like talking about Hive so I might crawl out from under my rock for it.

I am sure you will and I hope one day you will be able to meet other Hivers and can be part of such kinds of events...

So nice to have that event around you.

Yes sis, luckily and I was surprised when Hive invited me to attend the event. It was really nice to introduce Hive to other people.

In my living area, ugggh, so hard to talk about Hive

It's difficult and I face that too. We need the right people, the right event to introduce Hive.

Yes, genuinely it was really nice to talk about Hive to the people. Besides the another advantage was to get to know other projects, and ideas as well.

Honestly, I can't now even remember what exactly I did but I really hope the people I connected with remember Hive. I was stressed after some time but didn't write about it in this post. My EMDR therapy was postponed unfortunately because the therapist is sick and this news put me under a lot of pressure.

It was really a nice event...

You’re the best ambassador for Hive!
Oh, I am sorry for reading that your therapist is sick. I hope he/she gets well soon and you can continue the treatment. Take care of yourself, dear. ❤️
