I read on the news that Europe is experiencing a heatwave called a "Heat Dome." I imagine it must be much more intense than usual.
It was, and even though I was born in a hot country, the heat level in Europe was different. It was dry and felt like my skin was burning. And the truth is, a small part of my body skin was burnt 3 days ago, and it was painful...
Are you located in Venezuela or near the country? I hope you and your family are safe. I am glad that there was not much damage, but still I can imagine how scary it was...Give me the update...

Be careful with sunburn; they can be annoying, and, at times, they have been complicated for me.
I still live in Venezuela, and it is true that the strong earthquake we suffered has turned our lives upside down; add to that massive flooding in the central plains of the country and a gigantic fire that has been burning for 36 hours in the mountainous area of the west of the country, and I can tell you then that we have had a week of horrible disasters.
I think it's a quote from Shakespeare that says that 'misfortunes, when they come, come all together', and here it seems that natural disasters are being taken very seriously.
I am quite well off, compared to several thousand of my compatriots; the damage I sustained at home isn't a big deal as far as I can see. I wasn't hurt too badly by the shock, and my house is still standing; all of this makes me breathe with relief.
