From this bud, the fruit of the mango begins to emerge. Mango pulp grows from this bud. A good yield of mangoes is not possible without taking care of the buds. Many people like to plant mango trees in the hope of good yield but due to lack of timely care and attacks of insects and diseases, our hopes are not fulfilled. Mango buds and pulp go to waste. But we can get the delicious taste of mango if we take a little care in time. A branch of a mango tree has many flowers, if the fruit is also produced from that branch then it is called a bumper crop. But this bumper yield cannot be guaranteed. Still, many times on the pages of the newspaper it is seen that mango buds are falling due to rain or storm. Where there is supposed to be a bumper crop of mangoes, mangoes are withering due to undesired rains or lack of care. Mango orchards should be kept clean, weed free, and open. Dead branches should be pruned. Diseased branches and leaves should be burnt. The worm of this insect enters the ripe mango and eats the shell. The fruit rots and falls. When infected mangoes are cut, numerous insects are seen. If the insect attack is high, all the mangoes on the tree become unfit for consumption.

Depending on the variety, the fruit starts ripening within 3-5 months of fruiting. Commercially, it is not advisable to pick mangoes from trees that are never fully ripe. When the fruit of the tree begins to ripen two or four times, the mangoes should be laid by putting a bag-like net on the head of the bamboo pole so that it does not get hurt.
