POBphotocontest New Round: SMOKE
As a creative mind with a knack for DIY and electronics, I often find myself working with a soldering iron. The delicate wisps of smoke that rise as I fuse components together might be something most overlook, but I see an artistic charm in them. For this week’s #POBPhotoContest, themed around smoke, I decided to capture the mesmerizing movement of soldering fumes in a still frame.
About the Photo
This image was taken in my workspace while I was repairing a small circuit board. As I applied the soldering iron to the joint, the rosin core within the solder melted, releasing a thin stream of smoke. Against a dark background, the contrast created an almost ethereal effect, emphasizing the fluidity and randomness of the rising vapor.
Conclusion
This experience reminded me that beauty can be found in the most unexpected places, even in the wisps of smoke that rise during everyday tasks. I’m excited to see other interpretations of this week’s theme and to engage with the talented photographers in the #POBPhotoContest community.
