🏚 Renovate an old house to make it look better🏠

Hello everyone, this morning I woke up with my favorite cup of coffee. For the past few days, I have been busy renovating my old house that I just got. I started doing it little by little, my wife and I. As I said, it helps reduce costs because I haven’t done anything substantial since I moved in for 2 years. My wife wants to open a shop. The house is quite old. There are traces of termites that have climbed up to the roof. I was very surprised. What are these termites eating? The house is made of cement and steel. Finally, I found out what the termites were eating up there. It was the leaves that were piled up on the roof.

While I was checking on the roof of this house, the phone rang. It was my son-in-law's phone. My son-in-law had his brother bring the cow that I was raising to Surat Thani. That cow was Chaba, a small cow. I gave it to him to raise without any charges. He gave it to him for free. My son-in-law's brother wanted to find a female to be a breeding mother. Now my cow is about to give birth to another calf, so I gave it to my son-in-law's brother's cow. They traveled from Surat Thani for several hours before reaching Trang Province. It took about 2 and a half hours to go and back, about 4-5 hours. I think it was quite tiring, so I took them to eat before they went back. I treated them to food and drinks. Everything went well. I came back to the house again.

The condition of the house, the roof tiles are rotten and broken. When it rains, the condition inside, the rainwater pours down into the area of the house, which is caused by the coconut trees leaning towards the house. When there is strong wind or heavy rain, the coconuts will fall onto the roof causing these tiles to break. In addition, the tamarind trees and tamarind leaves that fall and pile up make food for termites. I also encountered this problem and had to fix it.

My wife and I divided the tasks by using a long bamboo pole and rubber shoes tied to the end of the bamboo pole. Then, we pushed the bamboo pole to the end to sweep the trash on the roof down. As for me, I used 2 thick wooden boards to put on the roof and walk on the roof. The equipment used was a broom and a mop to help sweep the trash and leaves on the roof, which were quite thick.
In addition to the leaves and grass on the roof, there were definitely various ferns growing naturally. This area must be rich because there were many large rubber trees in this area, which was very scary.

When I finished sweeping the trash, leaves, and grass on the roof, I went down to sweep the trash that had come down from above earlier. I swept it up and made it into compost in the future because it was very useful for the trees I was planting.

This tile was broken, which didn't look nice. But I had to wait for the workers to come and put down the coconut trees or the coconut trees before fixing the back and the roof. In addition to the coconut trees, I had to take care of the tamarind trees because when the leaves of the tamarind trees fall, they will fall onto the roof, causing the roof to be unable to support the weight.

Also, digging 2 wells and bathrooms. At first, it was sandy soil, then rocks, making digging quite difficult. But it is not beyond your ability. When you are finished, bring the pipes ordered from a construction material shop near the village to deliver. I use cement pipes or 3 round cement rings to put in each hole. When finished, close the lid. Go to the front of the house, which is still on the ground. So, I mix the cement with rocks, sand, and water until they are well-mixed. Then, I use a measuring tape to measure the exact level and use a rope to set the level. When the level is accurate, I mix the cement together and pour it on the smooth sand. Renovation is ongoing. I keep changing my mind. Right now, I am still thinking about planning to renovate many things about this house. It will take time. Today, I will say goodbye. I will come back to write an update with pictures for my friends to see.

Thank you for reading until the end. If you like this article, don't forget to share it with your friends.

Such a hectic day for you, from the arrival of the cow to checking your house and construction of your shop. If there's a typhoon, those towering trees would pose danger on your house. With proper maintenance, hopefully they can be prevented from giving more harm. You were keen on your work no matter how tiring it was. Day by day, step-by-step, and soon it will be finished.
