Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report. We are onto a new week, the very last of June. Hopefully you had or are having a great day.
Mine has been ok and it's now time to break it down including the trending stories. You definitely know the drill 😹. Thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look, common💨.
So today I didn't have my morning walk, instead I handled the the house chores and kept following the trending stories.
My first walk came around noon, going to the grocery for some cooking ingredients.
It was a nice sunny 🌞 day, a little warmer than yesterday. I just saw on the news that today was the hottest day of the year in the UK🙀, I didn't feel it that much though.
Anyways, my last walk was this evening enjoying the cool evening breeze. The sun was out past 8pm as I made my way back indoors.
Tomorrow I will try to be more active, I've been lazy today😹.
So then now let's look at the trending stories. In the UK, yellow heat alerts remain in place as temperatures peaked at 28 degrees Celsius.
Temps could continue to peak up until Thursday🙀.
In another story the NHS has confirmed that patients' data was stolen in cyber attack.
Speaking of hospitals, princess Anne is said to be admitted after suspected injury from a horse 🐎.Minor head injury, she will be ok.
Still in Europe, Russia has blamed the US for Crimea deaths and has vowed to respond🙀.
Moscow says US personnel oversaw missile launch accusing Ukraine of using cluster munitions.
On its part, US said Ukraine conducts its own military operations without help from pentagon.
Speaking of the US, Israeli defence minister Yoav Gallant is in Washington where he held talks with US secretary of state, Anthony Blinken.
Meanwhile in Israel, Netanyahu told the media he is ready to agree to a partial ceasefire but his goal to eliminate Hamas still stands🙀. Simply put the war will never end😿 as long as he is prime minister.
In Gaza, a bloody day as several people killed in Israeli airstrikes on Al Magazi refugee camp.
The director of ambulance and emergency was killed in one of the strikes. Over 500 medical personnel have been killed since October 7 😭.
Finally, lets take a look at what went on in the Euro football games.
Defending champions, Italy, stunned Croatia with an equalizing goal near stoppage time. They will proceed to the final 16, while the fate of Croatia hangs in the balance, they will most likely go home😿.
In the other match, Spain won Albania one nil. This was Spain's third win in a row🎉. So they are definitely going into the last 16. Albania are out😿.
Congratulations to Spain and Italy🎊. Well done and looking forward to more exciting matches.
