Visit Portugal - Serralves Garden #4

Last post about Serralves Garden!

Serralves has 4 spaces to visit:

• Serralves Museum
• Serralves Park
• Movie house
• Serralves House

If you want to visit all the spaces, the ticket costs €20

I only visited the Serralves Museum and Serralves Park for which I paid the sum of 10€.
This park is located in the city of Porto in the Boavista area. The access to get there is not good and for those who use public transport the ideal is to go by bus.
Here in Portugal we use Uber a lot so for those who like this service it will be easier to get to places with this service.

There is also a restaurant in the park, so if you visit early in the morning, you can always have lunch at the Serralves restaurant.
It also has a shop where you can buy souvenirs about this magnificent place.

Serralves is a cultural institution created in 1989, focused on contemporary art and the environment.

Carlos Alberto Cabral granted the space of the house and gardens for private use, the project having been completed in 1940, and in 1986 the State purchased the entire Quinta, with a view to implementing the National Museum of Contemporary Art, creating in 1989 the Serralves Foundation, recognized today as one of the main Portuguese cultural institutions and the most relevant in the North of Portugal.

The space of this foundation has a Library specialized in research in the areas of Contemporary Art, Architecture, Nature and Landscaping and with the wonderful space of the Auditorium that houses the most varied activities, including cinema, dance, colloquia, theater, among many others.
