Valongo - Regueifa and Biscoito Fair - Visit Portugal

Continuing from the anticipation and preparation, the Feira da Regueifa e do Biscoito from May 30 to June 2 has blossomed into a full scale celebration. The meticulous efforts of our townsfolk and the radiant weather have combined to create an unforgettable festival atmosphere, attracting visitors from other cities to our beloved town of Valongo.

Dando continuidade à antecipação e preparação, a Feira da Regueifa e do Biscoito, de dia 30 de maio a 2 de junho, floresceu numa celebração em grande escala. O esforço grandioso dos nossos habitantes e o clima radiante combinaram-se para criar uma atmosfera festiva inesquecível, atraindo visitantes de outras cidades à nossa querida vila de Valongo.

With the sun shining brightly and temperatures comfortably warm, the festival days began in earnest. The main square, now fully transformed into a bustling 19 century market, was a hive of activity. Colorful tents lined the streets, each one housing a different vendor showcasing traditional crafts, foods, and wares. The air was filled with the mingling scents of freshly baked regueifa and biscoito, grilled meats, and aromatic spices.

Com o sol a brilhar forte e as temperaturas confortavelmente quentes, os dias do festival começaram bem. A praça principal, agora totalmente transformada num movimentado mercado do século 19, era um centro de actividade. Tendas coloridas alinhavam-se pelas ruas, cada uma com um vendedor diferente apresentando artesanato, comidas e produtos tradicionais. O ar estava com uma mistura de aromas de regueifa e biscoito recém feitos, carnes grelhadas e especiarias aromáticas.

The festival drew an impressive crowd. Residents welcomed friends and family from nearby towns, and many first time visitors came to experience the renowned Feira da Regueifa e do Biscoito.
