Feathered Friends Round #241/Parakeets chatting
Hello Hive Community
In this round #241 with a free theme, I'm showing you some photos of parakeets in my community. I'm happy to participate although I couldn't take any clearer photos.
In the community where I live, every morning I am awakened not only by the singing of different species of birds, but also by the parakeets with their chirping and squawking. When I look out onto the balcony, I see them flying from one palm tree to another.
In the afternoon, they gather in flocks and fly from the trees to the lampposts. They look very funny chatting among themselves.
This pair of parakeets is my favorite photo. They stayed together while I was taking pictures.

I tried to take pictures of them and managed to get some when they were on the poles, as they stayed there for a while.

Among the species of parrots, these are the ones called Eupsittula pertinax, or ring-necked parakeets, which are very common in my country. They are medium-sized, and their most characteristic feature is the brown color of the feathers on their heads, which give the impression that they are dirty. Some of them appear to be a darker color.
The palm trees are where they live, and their fruits are their main food source. Sometimes they make their nests in the trunks of dried palm trees. They open a hole, and from there I have seen them peek their little heads out and fly away.

They fluttered around and communicated for a while as I photographed them. It makes me so happy to see them free.

They stayed there for a while and then flew to the wires.

I stayed there watching them to see if they would return to the palm trees, but they did not during the time I was there. Surely before the day ended, they flew to their palm trees to sleep.
I am glad to see them free and not locked up in a cage as happens when they are caught and sold. This is their true nature, to fly free and together.

All photographs are my own. I took them with a Samsung A15 phone.

I also like to see birds free and not locked up in cages. It is so wonderful to have these chatty parakeets in your neighborhood. 🙂

That's how they should always live.
Thank you @nelinoeva for your lovely comment.🦜
