Contest #290/The little geese are cold (Eng/Esp)
Greetings, fellow bird lovers.
In this SMap Show me a photo contest #290, @nelinoeva invites us to participate in an Free Theme.
The photos I’m sharing with you were taken during a walk with my daughter in Buenos Aires, at Parque Centenario—a beautiful park with a central lake—where we were able to observe the various birds that live there.
These baby goslings with their soft, yellow and gray down were the cutest and most beautiful things we saw. There were five of them, and they were at the edge of the pond, with their mother in the water watching over them. I loved this scene.
It seemed like they were cold and were huddling close together, as if to keep each other warm.
There were other domestic geese (Anser anser domesticus) in the pond, and very close to the little goslings were the pigeons that can be found in many areas of the park.
Here, people feed the birds, and the geese come over to eat.
It’s very pleasant to walk through this park in the cool weather and sit down to admire the birds and the vegetation.

En esta ronda #290, @nelinoeva nos invita a publicar fotografías de aves. El tema es libre.
Estas fotografías que les comparto fueron tomadas durante un paseo con mi hija en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, en el Parque Centenario, un hermoso espacio con un lago central, donde pudimos observar las diferentes aves que allí habitan.
Estos gansitos bebes con su plumón suave, de colores amarillo y gris, fue lo mas tierno y bello que vimos. Eran cinco y estaban a la orilla de la laguna, y su madre en el agua vigilandolo
Parece que tenían frío y se acercaban unos a otros, como para darse calor.
En la laguna habian otros ganzos domesticos (Anser anser domesticus) y muy cerca de los gansitos, las palomas que están en muchas áreas del parque.
Aquí las personas alimentan a las aves y los gansos se acercan para comer.
Es muy agradable caminar por este parque con una temperatura fresca y sentarse a admirar las aves y la vegetación..

The colour of the goslings is so bright. I read that they absorb pigments from the egg yolk, so their feather get stained yellow. It helps them camouflage and be recognized by their parents.
