UEFA Women's Euro England Vs Germany Final

IT CAME HOME!!

Last night our Lionesses made history and what a way to do it against one of our biggest rivals and at our home Wembley Stadium.

This is the view from where my Husband was sitting. I had tickets to the game too but unfortunately I wasn't able to go and I gave the ticket away to his nephew who was absolutely stoked. I didn't miss the game though. I was glued to it much like the rest of England.

The game was so fast paced and and the stadium went into meltdown when we scored the first goal. I got updates from my husband during the game and I could hear how loud it was. When the Germany equalised I was gutted. It felt like 'England all over'. It was so tense and the last thing I wanted was the game to go into extra time and worst still... penalties! Thank Got it didn't go down to penalties as I don't think my heart could take it.

During extra time when the winning goal was scored I and the rest of the country felt euphoric. What a feeling! All we had to do was keep her heads in the game and our Lionesses did just that!! We heard the roar!!

When the final whistle was blown I felt so emotional. I was on my own as well and I wish I had people with me. I just burst into tears because I was so happy for them. I think I cried too because I had missed an opportunity of a lifetime and history in the making.

Nevertheless, I was happy that I made someone else's day and a day they will remember for the rest of their lives.
