Reflection Hunters 149: The Sun’s Magnificent Reflection

Capturing the sunset’s splendor at the pineapple fields? Ah! It was a great moment to chase the horizon as I witnessed the beautiful reflection of the Sun during Sundown in the rearview of the car at San Miguel, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Philippines.

I was passing through the diversion road of Del Monte going to Camp Phillips, Bukidnon when I noticed a stunning sunset before me. While riding in the car, I tried to find a perfect place to capture it since it was hard to capture at other portions that I passed due to the surrounding background that covered the sunset.

All I could see was the splendid light spreading through the horizon. And when I reached a point, the car stopped on a highway where the sunset was visible. I tried capturing it on the road even if I was at a distance inside the car. Meanwhile, while capturing at various angles, I noticed that the sunset cast a reflection on the side mirror of the car.

Aside from the sunset’s splendor, I was delighted to see a vibrant sky with a combination of white, blue, gold, silver, and orange. The presence of the silhouettes of the surrounding atmosphere also made the sunset’s reflection unique. Honestly, it was my first time capturing this view as I caught a reflection of the Sun in the mirror. And I must say that this day was so memorable.

The magnificent reflection of the Sun looked like a golden fireball in the car’s rearview. I was so delighted to capture it at a distance with its amazing reflection. I never thought I would have this photograph as I only chased for the sunset, but it turned out that I was able to capture an extraordinary reflection of the sunset on one fine day.
