Weekend on the Kayak #7 - Second Day, Second Lake

Hi Friends!

Below You can see a photo gallery from a second day of my kayaking trip.

I moved to the place I never been to before - small forest lake called Jezioro Święte (ang: Sacred Lake or The Holy Lake in English ;).

It was very quiet when I reached the lake - I was the only person on a small wild beach surrounded by old forest.
I prepared my kayak, pack all the stuff and head towards the water.

The water in the lake was crystal clear and very warm.
It was a great pleasure to swim over the water plants, sunken old trees and fishes of different kind.
The water was so transparent I could easily see the details on the bottom. Amazing!

In the middle of the lake I found a small island which I called a Cormorant's Island - because there were cormorants of course :).
They uccupied the dead tree, probably warming up before the next fish hunting.

All the shores of the lake are totally covered by dense forests except few smaller wild beaches. Very wild and natural looking place.

On my way I also spotted a lot of birds - I will show You the shots in separate post.

On my way back I couldn't resist and I jumpled into the water. After long rowing I was tired this "bath" was a great pleasure for my body :).

The lake is quite small and it took me around 3 hours together with some resting stops to swim around it. Fantastic place - worth remembering - maybe I will go back there during autumn to catch some colorful reflections...
