Tatra Mountains 2025 #6 - Panoramas from Gubalowka on Tatry and Zakopane
Hi Guys!
Another collection of shots taken from Gubałówka mountain placed in a front of huge walls of high Tatras.
As I mentioned in the previous post - the light and weather conditions that day were dreamatic and beautiful!
Heavy clouds above the peaks add drama and the dynamic light on the valleys gave this warm touch and contrast to the image.
On the first panorama You can see a wide view on the mountains and a part of Zakopane city on the left.
Most of the shots I took with my tele lens 70-300mm taking vertical shots to have a look on the clouds and the magnification of the mountains.
In the center we can see very characteristic and well known mountain called Giewont - a legendary slipping soldier (with head on the right and rest of the body on the left).
There is a very popular trail to the top of this "head" leading from the other side of the mountain.
On the summit we can see (in a full size images) a high, metal cross. Because of this the place is very dangerous during the lightning storms, it works like a huge lightning rod...
All these panoramas look amazing in a full size version. If someone is interested getting a full size file ready to print - let me know and we will set the details :).
Gubałówka is a very commercial place - full of people, touristic spots, gastronomy, bars, all kind of markets, hotels and resting places... not my type of spots I like to visit in the mountains - but still it is worht visiting just to see these panoramas! One of the best viewing spots in the area of Zakopane and easy to access for everyone.
